Gerry Norris – Young Producer

Gerry is a passionate youth advocate who believes in the power of peoples resilience. Don’t be misguided by his baby face, through his years he has travelled internationally as a public speaker and dipped in many cultures while traveling to over 7 different countries.

Going from wanting to be a prosthetic technician to an animator to even being in the army, Gerry realized after doing volunteer work around youth work that he had found his passion.

After year 12 and realizing he needed to experience life and gain more knowledge before further study he started off doing “the norm” working in hospitality and travelled to broaden his outlook on people and different cultures.

After visiting major cities like Brisbane, Sydney and London, Gerry has appreciated the chill and laid back lifestyle of his home town, and says “I could never see myself leaving the Sunshine Coast”.

Gerry sees himself one day being part of a culture that really grasps the idea of people accepting one another and wishes the world was made of cadbury chocolate, “wouldn’t that be nice”.
